Frigid weather greeted Tampa Bay residents early Thursday as temperatures dipped into the high 20s and low 30s.
With winds around 10 to 12 mph, with stronger gusts, temperatures felt like they were in the upper teens and lower 20s. A wind chill advisory is in effect for all of Tampa Bay until 10 a.m.
Temperatures aren't expected to warm up much throughout the day, with highs peaking in the mid 50s.
Friday should get off to another frigid start, but temperatures should largely stay above freezing. Pasco and Hernando counties could see temperatures at or below freezing. Brooksville is forecast to see temperatures in the high 20s.
Highs should rebound Friday to the mid 60s.
