The professional troupe comes with its own set, sound system and large cast of talented performers. Its brand of entertainment is unlike anything that has ever come to a local stage.
Cirque du Monde will bring its worldwide tour to the Hernando High School Performing Arts Center on Sunday.
"This is the first time anything like this ever has come to us," said Rosemarie Raymond, board member with the Hernando Performing Arts Guild. "We've just never had a show like this."
Raymond saw the show last year in the Villages with fellow board member Barbara Ferraro. The group performed three sold-out shows and received standing ovations, Raymond said. She said she and Ferraro were so impressed that they were eager to see if they could bring the group to Hernando.
