CLEARWATER — A 35-year-old woman was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with critical injuries after she was hit by a car while attempting to run across Gulf to Bay Boulevard late Sunday, police said.
Casandra Estro, 35, and Allan Estro, 48, were attempting to run across Gulf to Bay Boulevard from the south to the north side just after 11:15 p.m. Sunday, when they ran into the path of an oncoming car, police said.
Ashley Belcher, 24, of Clearwater was driving a 1995 Acura west along the 2600 block of Gulf to Bay when the Estros dashed out into the path of her vehicle, police said.
Allan Estro made it across in time. But Belcher hit Casandra Estro as she darted across the street, police said. Both Estros are transients, police said.
