ST. PETERSBURG – A South Pasadena man died early Saturday after his motorcycle skidded and he struck a parked car, St. Petersburg police said.
Investigators gave this account of the incident: Geno Lanzaro was driving west in the 1600 block of First Avenue N at a high rate of speed just after 1 a.m. when he lost control of his 2003 Kawasaki. Lanzaro and the motorcycle skidded in a southwest direction, with Lanzaro coming to rest under a parked car. The motorcycle skidded another 393 feet before stopping. Lanzaro, 26, of 701 Pasadena Avenue S, died at the scene.
