HUDSON — Four kids riding on an all-terrain vehicle early Saturday were injured when they were hit by a Ford Ranger on Denton Avenue.
It happened about 1:50 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. A 2001 Honda ATV was heading south on Hicks Road with four occupants, 12-year-old Jessica Alonso, 15-year-old Mark Cullpepper, Cierra Delorey, 13, and a fourth person whose identity has not been determined.
Troopers said the ATV pulled into the path of the westbound pickup truck, which was heading west.
All four ATV riders were thrown from the vehicle and taken to local hospitals.
FHP spokesman Larry Kraus said three of the four young riders are in serious condition and one is in critical condition, though it's unclear which one.
The driver of the Ranger has not been identified, and no other details were released.
