TAMPA — A gas leak at Hillsborough High School forced students and faculty members to evacuate to the football field Tuesday.
A propane cylinder outside the school's cafeteria started leaking, and the school was evacuated shortly before 1 p.m., Tampa Fire Rescue reported.
No one has been injured, said fire rescue spokesman Bill Wade.
Hazardous materials workers are trying to stop the leak, and gas company representatives are on their way to the school at 5000 N Central Ave.
