TAMPA — A Tampa man hit another man over the head eight times Monday night, deputies said. His weapon? A bicycle.
Michael Anthony Perry was aware of the harm he was doing, said the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. The eight strikes with the bicycle left the victim with a deep cut on his head.
Deputies said Perry, 36, repeatedly kicked the man after he was knocked to the ground.
The victim was stitched up and later identified Perry, deputies said.
The two men did not know each other before this incident. Deputies arrested Perry and charged him with aggravated battery at 1225 Hillsborough Ave. W. Perry's bail was set at $2,500.
