LARGO — Authorities say a Largo woman left a 2-year-old boy outside unsupervised Thursday while she smoked marijuana inside her duplex.
Mallil Dixon, 59, of 1673 Coral Way, Unit B, was charged with child neglect.
According to an arrest report, a Pinellas County sheriff's deputy found the boy on a sidewalk, out of view of Dixon's home, about 10:30 a.m.
The boy was chewing on a piece of rubber that looked like a tire valve, the report said.
Dixon was babysitting the boy at the time, according to the report.
On Friday afternoon, Dixon, who also goes by the name Mattie Will Dixon, was being held in the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
