Hurricane Danielle strengthened overnight after weakening most of Tuesday, according to hurricane forecasters.
The second hurricane of the season, Danielle was a category 1 hurricane early Wednesday with sustained winds near 84 mph. Category 1 hurricanes have winds between 74 and 95 mph.
Forecasters said Danielle was expected to strengthen over the next two days.
The south-central Atlantic hurricane isn't threatening any land and is expected to turn north (map). The hurricane's projected path takes it near Bermuda.
The storm is moving west-northwest at about 17 mph.
Another low-pressure system expected to develop into a tropical depression is building off the coast of Africa.
Hurricane forecasters said the system has a 90 percent chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next two days.
Its name would be Earl.
It's moving west-northwest at 15 mph.
