Felon accused of punching woman in head
Authorities say a 24-year-old felon punched a woman in the head, causing her to fall to the ground unconscious and strike her head on pavement Wednesday morning.Jeremy Tyson Stevens Sr., 24, of 795 County Road 1, Unit 2, Palm Harbor, was charged with aggravated battery. According to an arrest report, Stevens punched the woman so hard that he broke his hand. The woman was knocked out by the punch about 3 a.m. at Eddie's Bar and Grill, 1283 Alt. U.S. 19 in Dunedin. The woman, identified as Jessica Gipson, 27, suffered a concussion and a gash to her head that required stitches, reports show.
