CLEARWATER — A man was fatally shot Tuesday evening after arguing with his cousin over necklaces, according to police.

Police say Nathaniel Gooden, 24, and his cousin Terry Tyrone Davis Jr., 18, confronted each other on the front lawn of Davis' residence at 1119 Tangerine St. around 8:30 p.m.

Both men accused the other of stealing their necklaces, according to police. The argument started about two weeks ago, police said.

At some point, Davis pulled out a handgun and shot Gooden several times, police said. Gooden died on scene.

Davis was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

No other information was immediately available.
